A former chemist, Bill has worked in city, town and country settings as a Priest as well as a hospital chaplain. He has specialised in loss issues and has a PhD from Warwick University in the subject of understanding parental child loss cross-culturally. He has written 12 books on various subjects for children and adults. Bill is a qualified counsellor and supervisor. He has qualifications in PGCHE, play therapy, stress management, CBT-Hynotherapy, PTSD and traumatic loss issues, pastoral care and supervision of counsellors. Bill is also the Chaplain at Bournemouth University where he lectures on bereavement and counselling issues. Bill has lectured at Oxford/Cambridge and internationally. Bill’s hobby is portrait wood carving where he has won an international competition (www.carvedportraits.co.uk).
